The Volcanic Coast Adventure is our 1 day alternative for those who do not quite have time to go overnight.

We will pick you up from Whitianga (or you can meet us at our departure point of Opito Bay) before making our way over the Blackjack Road to Opito Bay. Here we will gear up and get ready to paddle.

The day sees us paddling from Opito Bay around the eastern tip of the Coromandel Peninsula through the “Hole in The Wall”. We will stop at the beautiful and often deserted Pink Beach (the sand really is pink!). From here we will paddle around the corner exploring the caves, archways and crystal clear waters of Motukoranga island. From Motukoranga Island it is a short paddle to Matapaua Bay, a beautiful beach to pull up on to finish the trip.

This is a great day trip for people looking to get off the beaten track and escape the crowds.
